  • Artist of the Week: Bruno Kenzo

    Bruno Kenzo is a seventeen-year-old Brazilian with artistic sensibility well beyond his years. Stemming from an artistic community whose influence has no creative limit, Kenzo’s art has grown to display a remarkable sense of perspective, color and detail. “Designer’s Room,” shown below, is testament to this. The room has such a true-to-life character that one almost feels inclined to reach out and grab a drink.


    A master of his craft, Kenzo renders his models in Cinema 4D and brings them to life, at which time his meticulous attention to detail truly shines, in Photoshop. But not all of his work is 3D rendered. Kenzo also displays exceptional talent in the area of abstract design.


    One of his pieces, you might have noticed, embraces a mantra professing two simple words: “FUNK IT.” Mind you, there’s nothing wrong with being funky. At only seventeen years old, this digital prodigee is no doubt just getting warmed up.

  • Artist of the Week: Jared K. Nickerson

    self.portrait.2009Jared K. Nickerson, known online as “J3Concepts,” is a freelance illustrator with a one-of-a-kind style. His work is a form of “vector art,” where geometric principles – points, lines, curves – are used to give a cartoon-like impression of shadows, textures, and a particular frame of reference. But unique to the traditional vector style is Jared’s ingenious use of color. Through color, his art seems almost otherworldly—it’s hard to imagine a J3 color palette appearing freely in nature. Still, his uncanny ability to convey emotion and metaphor through geometry and color has such a natural feel.  Although vector art deviates slightly from our topical modus operandi, we feel the technical means employed through Jared’s imaginative work is worth a mention at the very least.
