Afrojack: The Way We See The World

“The Way We See the World (Tomorrowland Anthem Instrumental),” the collective brainchild of Afrojack, Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike, and NERVO, is certainly not lacking in your everyday sound effects, which, thanks to Pineapple Express, and “Money” by Pink Floyd, are so close to our hearts – Flux Welles, they shootin’! Aw, made you look.

In any case, the tune starts with a relatively flat bass line the progression of which I think is a bit flimsy. But, then, like a stoner discovering an underground pot house, the track suddenly strikes that familiar tone of awe and wonder. Its melody taking off before your very ears, you cannot help but complicitly await the next ‘chk-chk.’ That is, until the reverb fades, welcoming you back to the bass line. Overall, a solid song with a funky groove to it.

Just keep running, like the little girl from Forrest Gump said. Maybe I can hide up there in the chicken coop. But the air – it’s so thick; and if I just had a moment’s breathe. And as you start to slow by the bridge, you hear the sound of the giant footsteps return. Panicked, you realize that you have no option but to jump. You take the plunge; but the giant follows. It’s a highway duel, and now, your only option is a dangerous one. You take the high road; and from that point on it was all adrenaline. And space was removed from time until the chase became a vacuum of thought and sound. Will the giant make his move, running away in laughter?
