Apparently someone else thinks they're fluxy. "F.lux" by Stereopsis is a unique piece of software by virtue of its sympathy for the headache-inducing aggravation that is eye strain. The program operates by adjusting the tint of your computer screen to accommodate the current lighting of the sun.
