My name is Flux Welles and I am the creative mind, so to speak, of the website. Let me be the first to welcome you into our home. As you can see things look like they seem. We like to think we’ve developed an intuitive way of communicating to you what the Flux is all about. We want you to understand the criterion which guides our unique mindset. To be fluxy, mind you, is quite a thing. Cursed be he who mistakes flimsiness for fluxiness.

Subcrew: Sub Division
// February 8th, 2010 // No Comments » // Fashion
Hong Kong based streetwear company Subcrew has recently given rise to “Sub,” an upscale subdivision, as it were, of Subcrew. Half-submarine half-crew, Subcrew was born alongside a mantra declaring: “The crew [must] stand fast at their posts and fight shoulder to shoulder together.” We haven’t seen too many items breaching the mainstream from the Hong Kong company; however in this case, the Sub by Subcrew Stadium Jacket – black on black, wool base with leather sleeves, simple back branding – definitely proves to be a unique piece.
High-quality material is a necessity for streetwear companies trying to reach the next level of respect. In the Sub Stadium Jacket, wool and leather provide not only a great feel on the body but also a two-toned flair applied onto what would traditionally be a sweet leather jacket.

With the release of the Sub Stadium Jacket we can now anticipate, in the approaching season, a jump from trucker hats to premium items like the Sub Stadium Jacket. After all, who doesn’t want to wear a varsity jacket? All in all we hope the visionaries over at Subcrew can pump the brand above and beyond local markets.
The Sub Stadium Jacket is now available on Subcrew’s Online Store.

Adidas Originals: Star Wars Collection
// January 20th, 2010 // No Comments » // Fashion
Keeping with the Star Wars theme, we’ve stumbled upon a video campaign for the new Adidas Originals Star Wars Collection. Like many other video campaigns this one is in slow motion, it takes place during the night, and it highlights young attractive people partying with a handful of celebrities. You might notice – among Darth Vader and a few Storm Troopers – Snoop Dogg, Daft Punk, and David Beckham. But what stands out in this particular video are the subtle yet powerful Star Wars images and hip-hop themed tracks (the DJ, Neil Armstrong, also makes an appearance.) So if you’re in the mood for break dancing with storm troopers, playing baseball in the dark or foot-racing on a crowded city street (or just walking around), you might find something you like in the 2010 Adidas Originals Star Wars Collection.

Fluxy Five: Fall Jackets
// October 7th, 2009 // No Comments » // Fashion
It’s official, fall is here. And what better way to start off the season then to grab a lightweight jacket that will keep you warm and liven your style.
Garbstore Mountain Providence Parka
The Providence parka is a modern take on the traditional fall jacket. A blend of Carhartt and Barbour, this jacket boasts sturdy construction, light waterproofing, and original leather pullers. Garbstore has made a great jacket to get you through the fall and perhaps even into the winter. (We recommend the green and black colorways.)
’92 Pullover
This half-zip is classic 10.Deep style. The ’92 Pullover features minimalist black-on-black logos and a front pouch that doesn’t even look tacky. The design also includes silver speed stripes to compliment the rich black base. An easy wear for any location.
A.R.C. x Penfield Fullspin Windbreaker
Alife has teamed up with Penfield to produce a windbreaker that shouts for attention. Red and royal shades of purple catch the eye while a metallic A.R.C. logo, somehow, detracts from any obnoxious flashiness. The Fullspin is truly a stylish piece of street-wear marked at an affordable price. Purchase one while you still can.
Supreme Fishtail Parka
For those of you in colder areas, the Fishtail is warmly and comfortably crafted in a blend of cotton, nylon and onion quilt lining. Supreme produced the Parka with high quality fabrics, an adjustable hood, a split fishtail, hand warmers and plenty of deep pockets. This jacket is perfect for a formal event or even your casual dinner with Grandma.
Fragment Design x Sophnet x FYI Design
In an unprecedented collaboration, FYI Design has teamed up with Fragment Design and Sophnet to produce the FSF Urban Project. Packing a powerful statement, the jackets consists of bright red tones underscored by a reflective silver liner. The FSF Urban Project is a collage of wildly different styles in search of an entirely unique jacket, and we think they’ve done it.
