    Stranger to the Flux:

Ever see a little flick by the name of Citizen Kane? How ‘bout War of the Worlds? Touch of Evil? Egalitarian, as it were. But the mind of a skeptic if there ever was one…

Sometimes life is flimsy. Why do the Japanese find glowing eyelashes attractive? How can the Brits forbid their Speaker of the House from speaking? Who smuggled liripoop into the dictionary? Point in fact: this world is getting stranger by the second.

Can you see the flimsy? Search your mind. Search carefully. Nothing yet? Let’s try again.

Look around your room. What do you see? A lamp, electronic media, some furniture, a twinkie or two – something like that, right? But what do you really see? Do you see what is there, because it is there? Are you doing what is real, because it is real? Do not fret, tainted soul, for the Flux is among us. To be sure, it is all around us.

You see now, don’t you? Feeling funky? Now look even closer.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from Orson it’s this: never chase a dream you can’t call your own. Go, funky soul, and embrace who you are because you are. Embrace it all. Embrace every second of it. Even as it changes.

There it is. Finally fluxy. Keep it that way. Embrace it.
